This year, the team at Waltmann’s Landscape Construction proudly competed in the Floriade Show Gardens, one of the most anticipated attractions at Canberra’s annual Floriade festival. With the 2025 theme, “Science and Nature,” we were challenged to showcase how landscaping can bridge creativity, innovation, and sustainability.
For us, it wasn’t just about building a garden — it was about teamwork, collaboration, and celebrating the joy of outdoor spaces with our community.
A Friendly Build-Off Competition in Canberra
The Floriade Show Gardens is a friendly build-off competition where Canberra landscapers and designers come together to create inspiring outdoor spaces. Working alongside our designated designer, we turned concepts into a vibrant garden that highlighted the connection between natural beauty and human ingenuity.
Our display reflected the essence of the theme, blending thoughtful design with craftsmanship, and demonstrating how science and nature complement one another in landscaping.
Teamwork, Collaboration, and New Connections
One of the highlights for our team was the opportunity to:
